The Ottawa-Gatineau Youth Foundation, in partnership with the Town of Arnprior, Sullivan and the Arnprior Optimist Club, cut the ribbon on the Sullivan RINK OF DREAMS with a grand opening ceremony this morning at Legion Park.

When Al Albania, President of Acart, learned that the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club was parting ways with its namesake Foundation of more than 22 years, he reached out to the charity’s President & CEO, Danielle Robinson, to offer the leadership talent of Acart, a company he founded in 1976.

Ottawa-Gatineau Youth Foundation (@OGYF) President and CEO, Danielle Robinson, announced today that Monique Washnuk has joined the charity as the Director of Donor Engagement and Fundraising. “We are thrilled to have Monique join the staff team in this new role in our Foundation,” said Robinson. “We are confident that the Ottawa-Gatineau Youth Foundation and its various stakeholders will benefit hugely from Monique’s depth of educational, fundraising and professional experience”.
The Ottawa-Gatineau Youth Foundation (OGYF) officially launched this morning at 8:15 a.m. with a 30-minute, power-packed, bilingual presentation, sponsored by Accora Village, featuring several prominent business leaders, politicians and well-loved NHL players from the region. After more than two decades as the Ottawa Senators Foundation, the Ottawa-Gatineau Youth Foundation is launching with a new name, but with the same commitment it has always had as a registered charitable organization in supporting young people in the National Capital Region by investing the funds it raises in activities to empower them and provide opportunities.
