The Capital City Condors are a family of ice hockey players who are unable to participate on any other hockey team due to a cognitive and/or physical disability. Players are ages six and up, of all ability levels and are given a high degree of personal care and attention by the Condors on-ice coaches. Fun, love of the game, acceptance, social skills, hockey skating skill development, sportsmanship, and teamwork are highly valued and emphasized. The program is a rewarding experience for the players and volunteers as children, youth, and young adults, who once only dreamed of playing on a hockey team, see their dreams come true and their abilities progress. As a result of support from the Ottawa Senators Foundation, Capital City Condors was able to make the following impact over the past year:

“We can’t express enough gratitude to the Ottawa Senators Foundation for the many ways they support and encourage the Capital City Condors! Their kind financial contributions have literally made it possible for more incredible athletes who have extra needs to get on the ice and be part of a hockey team and the greater hockey community. The Ottawa Senators Foundation has significantly impacted so many lives, helping make dreams come true.”
